A young life snuffed in a misbegotten war. You never covered how we got there, you never covered how he got there, you never asked why he died. But at least you gave "coverage".

Except your coverage was in fact cover. You covered for an illegal war. You covered for a corrupt regime. You covered for corporations that profited by plan on his death.

He might have had a wife and he might have grown a child. But for what you "covered" he might have lived another 80 years and raised a dynasty. Instead he became background noise to my searching for reality here while you blare lies behind me.

He never merited your time while he lived and dreamed anymore than friends of mine who died in jungles 40 years ago merited "news" while they breathed.

I never heard the young man's name and that is my loss.
