Why can't more Democrats be like Claire McCaskill and Barney Frank? |
|
Just watched them both on Meet the Press. They were wonderful.
Hey Dems, it's called a SPINE. Get one.

I thought she did a great job on MTP.
Didn't realize she had to be perfect before I could praise her for doing the right thing.

22. (shrug) It would be helpful if you realized that one teevee appearance... |
|
isn't quite all there is.
As far as spines go, if you take Claire's entire body of work into account, your OP would apply to her.
But I understand - as long as you look at nothing other than this morning's teevee appearance, yes, she is very, very good.

2. At the risk of being contrary, |
|
I'm still angry at Frank, and Dodd. What was up with the original bank bailout. It's been such a flop, why did they ever agree to no restrictions or accountability? Has any citizen actually benefited?
OK, I do still like Barney, and he was a good rep. to counteract the rethugs' ridiculous arguments.

That would be the answer to your question.
So... the other question is, do WE have the spine to do away with our corporate-run political system?

38. My only problem with Barney Frank... |
|
He has held a tremendous series of hearings into the cause of the economic crisis, but he doesn't listen to what the witnesses are saying. He's so busy trying to think of what he's going to say next that he totally ignores his panel.
He's not the only one, though, for sure. I'm shocked by how little the senators and congresspeople on both sides, on the finance and oversight committees, even know about banking, finance or the economy. It's embarrassing.
I don't know anything about McCaskill.
