When You Compare Politicians' Salaries to CEOs' How Can You Be Surprised At the Corruption?

US Governors make $70k-$200k

US congress makes $165-$170k

POTUS makes $400k


And everyday they pass legislation so that others can make millions and tens of millions, so of course they get all kinds of candy from lobbyists. Wouldn't you demand some?

When they leave office, that's when they get to really cash in, though. Then the money doesn't have to go to a re-election fund or get hidden anywhere.

You look at Blago and Paterson and best believe they knew they were putting someone on that gravy train and wanted a piece.


Just one more way corporations have ruined our country. CEO and other exec salaries need to come down to earth.

1. Should we clamp down on lobbyists and govt. payoffs?

No matter what "CEO and other exec" salaries are they'll still give what they can with money and other perks to politicians who will pass laws that benefit them.

There is corruption in plenty of govts and countries around the world and throughout history where there weren't millionaire CEO's and execs involved.
