2. Well before the Reaganomic American way of life took a vise like

hold in America....I always believed it was every American could have a good paying job, strive to get a home, build a family.

But thanks to the Neocon, racist, homophobic, anti-middle class movement America became a nation of the have's and have nots. For those that are not in the rich corner too bad, if you are in the rich corner and you break the law that's okay because the law is not going to pursue you. If you are sick with Aids well it's a gay disiese so too bad. Oh yea lets not forget the Repuglican push for Americans to live on credit and beyond their means.

Oh I forgot the Rethuglican American way of life only applies to Christian, heterosexual predominantly white folks in America. Not the rest of us....

I blame the Repuglicans for the downward spiral of "The American Dream".

Having said that, I'm in otherwise full agreement with your post. But they, those in power, have not cared about families or anybody else. Only themselves. Even if they break their own families.
