I think he REALLY needs to be reading Krugman right now. Krugman didn't win the Nobel for Economics for nothing. Obama would do well to take heed.

and that is where the disconnect is. Krugman writes is opinions, but has never had to build a concensus to get that opinion approved in the form of a bill. In particular he's never had to do it, and to do it while the Corporate media was biting at his heels and shaping public opinion against just about everything in the bill.
