On the subject of the harm done by de-regulation . . .
if we don't begin to re-regulate soon, we'll be doubling back and rescuing the same

capitalists again.

Unregulated capitalism is merely organized crime.

WHY aren't our elected officials talking about re-regulating?????

NAG, NAG, NAG --!!!

5. Absolutely. The De-regulation of the last 28 years has been a failure for all but those
at the very top-who have benefitted grossly.

2. It's going to take time to look at the old laws, then update them.
There were too many loopholes in those old laws, and the vultures have proven they can't be trusted (even way back then). Any new laws or regulations need to be very carefully written to preclude abuse and to include specific penalties for aberrant behavior - and those penalties need to be more severe than the average 18 months for the worst white collar crimes.

That said, even under the current climate of deregulation, laws were broken. It's time to begin some serious investigations.

3. Let's get the SUBJECT out there -- see officials discussing it ---
The old laws were fine until corporations bought government and elected officials ---

that's where the "loopholes" were!

We have to get money and corporations out of our elections -- !!!

And computers --- !!!
