Stock market: "buy on the rumor, sell on the news"

is what the hedge fund aholes do to make a buck on the silliest street in the world--Wall. The market just got through going up 3-4% on the news of the Stimulus/Jobs bill passing a couple of days ago, right?

But the news readers act like it's some valid antinomy that the President speaks and the market receeds. Why do we think they are pundits with such nonsense?
