Republicans staking early claim in 2010 Senate cycle

Following two cycles in which the party found itself perpetually on defense, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is giving early indications it intends to lambaste Democrats in a much more aggressive fashion in the 2010 cycle.

Observers say the NRSC is taking an early stand against several incumbent Democrats much earlier than it has in 2006 and 2008, following a model set by their Democratic counterparts that aims to create a constant refrain to hammer opponents.

The committee, headed by Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), has already taken an aggressive line against three newly appointed senators and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). And they promise more Democrats will find their way into the crosshairs.

“Over the next two years, Republicans do not intend to cede an inch of ground or a single news cycle to Democrat{ic} candidates whose rhetoric at home doesn’t match their partisan voting records in Washington,” said Brian Walsh, the NRSC’s communications director.

“While Republicans suffered setbacks in recent years, Chairman Cornyn does not believe that should give our party cause to roll over and allow the Democrats to run roughshod over us,” Walsh added.

1. By all means.
Bring it on, you fucksticks.

What are you going to do, threaten us and hope all those voters Obama ginned up during the election are going to get amnesia and vote for you? Fear doesn't work anymore, fuckers--Obama won.

3. Bullshit
The Hill is full of Republican and Liebercrat hacks. The GOP has already likely lost New Hampshire and maybe Missouri. Then they will have to scratch and claw to hand onto Ohio.

4. Doesn't mean they won't try, and be a continuing thorn in the Dems'
side while they're at it.
