1. Rather they do that than shoot people for real |
|
If that's what their juices tell them they should do - then SO BE IT

5. YAWN! I got over that when I was in the Army. |
|
We had this really expensive Laser Tag type equipment, where the light goes off with the shot of a blank. Very good for training.
Paintball? Stupid.:eyes:

8. I was never tempted either after being in the Army. |

We had these really expensive helicopters & rockets & machine guns & rifles & hand grenades & things. My ears still ring with pretty bad tinnitis 40 years later.

6. (shrug) Boys like to play guns with each other. Breaking! |
|
Edited on Tue Feb-10-09 10:34 PM by BlooInBloo
The only problem is when they take it seriously. Like medieval and Civil War re-enactment conventions all the time and idiotic crap like that.
But boys going out to play, whatever. As long as it's kept in mind that it's just play.
EDIT: Lots of freakish typos.

is vastly more fun when alcohol is invloved. It's just pure lunacy with highly creative insults thrown in for color. We couldn't shoot what we were aiming for because we were laughing so hard.
However there are people who take it very seriously and they can be down right scary. Insted of just going and having fun, some of these people treat it as real combat.

|
Just remember, wear your protective equipment.
Make sure you've got your mask with eye, ear and face protection. If you're a guy, make sure you're wearing a cup, if you're a woman, wear equivalent protective equipment.
Any other parts of your body that get hit with a paintball will heal...

Last time I played, a couple years ago, I was headed back out into the field after the obligatory 20 minutes in camp after being shot, and I saw a kid from the other team walking with his paintball gun over his head towards camp, like he had been tagged, then suddenly, he went to my friend who was walking in front of me a few steps, suddenly pointed his gun at him and said "Surrender!" I instantly raised my gun and put a huge welt on his chest from a range of 15 feet.
Important safety tip - people frown on "Dead Man Walking" crap,

I've only played paintball once and nobody took a sack shot, but when I played football and one of us got a nut cracking, that's when everyone except the crackee had a blast! Good times, good times.

I suspect it's a gateway activity that leads innocent children to take up the scourge of paintball games later in life.

'cept we use pads. Thats probably a good thing considering i blocked a kick with my head. Those young bastards are so damn limber. It sucks because you have to wait for your eyes to go back into focus before you can return fire.
