The guy's name is Gary James, he got 80 votes yesterday. Thankfully, he lost the election. Here is the story in my local newspaper:

I live here, I know that it was a possibility. I wish attitudes were much different around Enid, America. But the stark reality is that they just aren't. Things are better than they used to be as far as race is concerned, but definitely not on the LGBT front.
