Who the hell got those billions in bonuses that we've been talking about?

2. Because They Didn't..........

They got what they call retention awards, it's the same thing as a bonus, they just put a different name on it. They get the big bonus checks, then they claim it's a retention award.

Think Progress has a report on it.

3. My guess...it wasn't called a "bonus" it was called some sort of "compenstation".

Did they just lie? Any salary adjustment IS STILL SALARY!

I'll bet they didn't ask about compensation outside of their regular salary.

Most large contracts have a portion called "definitions". Those are always interesting. Amendments to contracts are informative too.
