Nancy Skinner is a centrist WIMP. Advocating Truth an Reconciliation Commission CRAP!
And Randi's adience is biting her head off over it. She had Conyers on first and He went off on her about it.

The Fucking Idea! Giving WAR CRIMINAL MURDERERS fucking IMMUNITY if they will just fess up. BULLFUCKINGSHIT!

She just said she has been invited to debate Huckaby Saturday on FAUX. We know what kind of liberals keep

getting invited on Faux. The ones who aren't strong adversaries. Like Alan Fucking Colmes.

They love liberals who will compromise, who want to reach across the isle. And every time they draw back a bloosdy stump. Every Fucking Time. Name ONE strong liberal that gets on Faux repeatedly. NONE!

Callers are eating her lunch and she deserves it. The very idea!

BRING BACK RANDI! Nancy just doesn't cut it.

1. as I understand it, the ones who talk get immunity. The others, not so much
but I could be wrong.

2. And how do you know they're telling the truth?
Edited on Wed Feb-11-09 06:13 PM by Wiley50
How many people lie under oath every day? Does anyone really think Bush, Cheney or Rove would tell the truth even with immunity?
Hell, they'd rather preserve what legacy they think they have.

Does someone caught shoplifting food get a deal like that? Let off scot free if they will just fess up. They may cut a deal but they still get punished

So someone can cause the deaths of well over a million people should get a deal like that? For Greed and Power?

I don't think anyone who knows the truth would sit still and agree to that BS

EDIT: Angry Typos

4. no- what they want to do is get those under Bush and Cheney to give up info about Bush and Cheney
again, this is how I believe Leahy wants to do it.

7. Well, that would be good, for a start
Edited on Wed Feb-11-09 06:34 PM by Wiley50
but that is not how Nancy was approaching it. She wants to let them all off.

I don't want the ones who did things that were criminal, like torture, when obeying orders

to be punished for it. Linde England and company shouldn't be in prison for what Rummy ordered them to do.

Yes, they should have been able to refuse an illegal order, but I'm not sure that girl was even smart enough to know that she could get away with refuseing the order. And don't think she could have in her situation anyway.

But Bush, Cheney, Rummy and Rove need to be in prison.

3. These commissions are the only serious attempt at accountability
that exists in the plane of serious politcal discussion. Anything else, and possibly even the formation of these committees themselves is a pipe dream.

She may not be a raving lunatic like Randi, but I've never found her to be a wimp or a particularly centrist.

5. I don't agree with you

I refuse to accept that as an acceptable situation with my government. If enough of us demand what's right we can get it now.

6. It will go the same as all that went before...
Watergate Hearings, Church Committee, Iran/Contra, the 9/11 Commission...and on, and on, it goes...someone will go down, but for the most part I think we already know more more than we will learn from any actions taken by Congress or the Justice Department. The "Truth" Commission is an insult.

8. Yes, it's an insult. And Leahy should know better after being Anthraxed
But, there has to be an end to the BS. This country needs a reset to constitutionality.

If it takes a revolution to do it.
