should have had more back up. He was fighting them all the way, but hitting the guy like that did nothing to subdue him. It only made him fight worse. It seems to me better to get a couple of more cops to sit on him till they could cuff him if they were having that much trouble.

I think it could have been Union Square here in the city. I was just playing the way kids do and walked up to a bench where three older guys where sitting and started talking to them. A cop came up to me and quietly said, "you better go back to your mom or I'll have to tell these guys to move". He probably knew them by name. It's one of the earliest times I remember when someone asked me to consider the welfare of another person.
