They should have realized they were related from looking in the mirror

2 cops on same force realize they are father and son

wo police officers, working on the same police force in Petersburg, Virginia, realized they were actually father and son.

They found out just two weeks ago they were more than co-workers.

Detective Clay Hamilton is the father of Sgt. Chris Walker.

37 years ago, when Detective Hamilton was 15, he dated a girl who found she was pregnant, went back to her husband, and moved away.

Hamilton always suspected he was the child's father, but he could never find her to be sure.

Meanwhile, in 2006, Sgt. Walker began searching for his biological father. " I did a google search just to see if anything for my own curiosity," he said.

Walker knew his father's name, and when Clayton Hamilton came to work at the Petersburg Police Department last fall, the two began to talk, and it didn't take long to figure things out.

They got a blood test, and found out a couple of weeks ago, they are father and son.

makes perfect sense to me, in a backwoodsy sort of way..

I was all prepared to ask the timeless question we use in our house... "Florida or Texas?"...but Virginia snuck in under the wire:)
