Subject: Tornados, I hope Jane Hawes is alright.

The north side of OKC and Edmond have just been hammered with tornados. A lot of damage up there.

This is very early for this. All of them so far are going a little west of me, but some are headed to where Gary works. So far there have been 4 super cells drop down. In Edmond they have people stuck in two cars with power lines on top and on both sides. The Fire Dept. got there to help and were hit with heavy golf ball and tennis ball size hail. The shopping center at NW expressway and Rockwell was hit early as was the east side of Edmond. It is not like a shopping center under one roof. There is a wall down on an Italian restaurant and the roof off of a Chuck E. Cheese, there were ambulances at the Hoppy Lobby on the other side of the expressway. Also ambulances at Chuck E. Cheese. There are more coming and so far they are all moving mostly north and not east which is why I am still on the computer. They just said one was headed toward Mercy Hospital and Quail Springs Mall which is a huge Mall. All OKC schools are on lockdown until all of this is finished. There are 5 separate storms headed up from the south and they say they could form into one long storm which is better. Some of these are huge. An impressive storm to the south. Baseball size hail in Guthrie. Baseball size hail all over northwest OKC.

Twisters kill 8 people in Oklahoma, others injured (AP)

Submitted by Texatheist1 on Wed, 02/11/2009 - 2:07pm.
Yes, the elderly like me get rejected by christians who say they know chay-sus(jesus).read my story but i know you wont weep for most dont give a damn. I AM 60 YEARS OLD.isn't that old enuf to be elderly? i have to pay extra now for my meds.i take 17 pills a day just to survive..i think every one here knows i live in a run-down 40-year-old mobile home about to fall in and we had tornadoes here in the area and in Texas last nite and had to put a tarp over my computer and radios because the roof leaks. yet i get no help and no many have even responded to my bitching, griping, complaining about it.death for me would be better in my situation. so dont panic and think i am going to commit suicide.but politicians and others dont care and want us to die and get the hell out of the way.well, maybe one day i wlll and wont be heard from again.i am in dire circumstances here in east texas but get no help.only others get help..us whites dont get help anymore.it's called reverse discrimination.apartments here are anywhere from $400to $500 a month and i only get $674/mo SSI.i dont even have a car to run somewhere when atornado comes my way..we had one close last nite. a friend in central texas emailed me last nite to say he had tornadoes there and had 2 ham radio towers fall on his neighbor property.i cant afford a tower any more..have to use tree limbs.all i need is a $25,000 mobile home.i dont thank that is asking too much with all the damn money being wasted in banking these days.a man without a home-thats me.london bridge(my home) is falling down, my fair lady. s/L Rulfs in East Texas

1. Took the roof off of a Chuck E. Cheese
The only loss there is the income it provided for the people.

As for the second one, I hope I don't consider myself elderly at 60. That is only 10 short years away. But they sound like they live a tough life and then mother nature dumps on them too.

2. The Edmond tornado
Passed about a mile, maybe a mile and a half west of where I work. I shot these pics of the storm with my cell phone.

4. no kidding
I've seen storms in the winter before, but not like what we just had. The tornado down by Ardmore was a 3/4 mile wide f-4. In February. I have lived in Oklahoma since 1968 and I can tell you without reservation, the weather has changed a whole lot since I was a kid. It's getting warmer, a lot warmer, whether the right wing loonbats want to admit it or not.
