SOFT BIGOTRY, LOW EXPECTATIONS.... Apparently having said enough about President Obama's choice in clothes, Andy Card now wants to share a few thoughts about his former boss.

Andy Card, the former chief of staff to President George W. Bush, said Thursday that the public was plagued by misconceptions about the former president, particularly in regards to his intelligence and openness to information.

"First off, President Bush does know how to read."

OK, but isn't that setting the bar a little low?

1. Well, yes, he knows how to read.
But then again, it took him half an hour to finish My Pet Goat.

2. Thanks for not changing your Name Sis!
I'm having identity crisis on DU right now. I often don't know who the heck I'm responding to. I hope they keep the aliases up for awhile.

3. I made a list
I've got about 30 people on it I think. I was surprised at how many there were that I just couldn't bear to "lose", although many of them might wish I would, lol.

4. Me, too, BOSS. I haven't memorized hardly any names yet.
I'm going to be lost, too. And thanks for keeping yours.

OT, have you started gardening yet or is it still too early? I'm itching, but waiting.

6. We have some travel plans
thrugh May so I decided I'm gonna hold off until early June to commence my croppage. I've ordered tomato and pepper seeds. This year will be a test of my patience. But I should be harvesting tomatoes till thanksgiving. We planted tidal wave petunias around our Crepe Myrtles in October and they are going to be monsters. They have survived all our freezes and I look forward to them showing off maybe as early as next month. Have a bountiful harvest.
