Economic sufficient condition |
|
Sufficient Condition: Have you ever thrown a splinter of wood onto glowing coals? When you do it will sit there for just a second and then burst into flames. You see if there is heat sufficient for the wood to burn and if there is oxygen sufficient for the wood to burn then the wood will burn. It is what you call 'sufficient condition' meaning that when the conditions necessary for something to happen it will happen. What the splinter of wood will not do is sit there for a while after sufficient condition has been met to burn.
And now we have the ever-continuing series of bailouts and pouring of tax-debt into a very small number of private enterprises. Not a moment to spare, we have been told for near 2 months now, the economy is within hours of collapse. We are always within hours of collapse. You see the economy isn't like the splinter of wood. When everything needed for a collapse is in place it still doesn't happen. Hearing can go on, Congressmen and Senators can haggle and vote, days and days can pass, but sufficient condition or no, collapse is always right around the corner. How is this?
Hail to the Chief.

They tell themselves whatever they need to believe, and then convince themselves it;s all true..and then they do it againa and again, as things change..

is sitting on a bed of glowing coals but will not burst into flames because they keep dropping little drips of water on it. it seems like every week they announce some "new plan" to save the system ( drips of water ) and the splinter steams for a little longer. the thing is, they are running out of water and the splinter is getting hotter by the minute! one day soon the splinter will get so hot that the drip of water will turn to steam before it reaches the splinter at witch point the splinter will spontaneously burst into flames!!!

You, dear Sir or Mam, are an analogical genius. How you managed to extend that analogy and hit it so exactly right is really astounding. I salute you!
Really, you just showed you are way smarter than most.
