5. What is the greatest threat to the average American? |

Is terrorism a greater threat than cancer or diabetes, or aids, or hell even the common flu? If a person is serious about wanting to "Protect" Americans why wouldn't they want more spending for cancer research and prevention? Why the HUGE Military boondoggle when the threat is actually very slight? Does anyone even Republicans actually feel America is really threatened with extinction by terrorists. Even if a nuclear bomb were to be dropped in a large American city I doubt the deaths would equal deaths in America from disease and in particular those related to tobacco. Yet maintaining our collective Health is not considered to be "Protecting" Americans. Only the Military can do that. :crazy:
