Republican Concern Trolls |
|
In the Psychomachia the conflict of vices and virtues wages on the battlefield. The bodies are all around. But Greed who is unharmed, walks among the dead picking the valuables of their bodies with her long clawlike hands.
Then she sees three monks who are coming to assist the wounded. She tries to tempt them by offering them some bounty.
"Come here.. There is gold among the dead"
But the monks will not be tempted and they walk on to serve the dying!
Then Greed, undeterred, raises her selfish ugly arms and turns herself into a clean and modest woman...
And she calls to the monks....
"Come here, I am not Greed. I am Thrift. I am just CONCERNED about the people"
I saw it on the History Channel. The Seven Deadly Sins. Part GREED!
This is exactly what the Republicans are doing.

5. The House passed the jobs stimulus bill once again WITHOUT Rushpublican votes |
|
so your analogy is fitting.
They stand on the House and Senate floor wailing "thrift!" after they've devastated our country with their "DREGULATE!", "WAR!" and "TAX CUTS!".
Good analogy Joanne98.:applause:
