3. Apparently voting "NO" from the left...
A spokeswoman says DeFazio was concerned there was not enough infrastructure spending in the compromise crafted by House and Senate leaders.

DeFazio also has said he thinks the measure is too heavily weighted toward tax cuts.

16. Um, there really aren't any "right reasons"
This is the most Liberal piece of legislation since the Great Society legislation.

2. As a demographic group, unsurprising, except for the guy from Oregon...
Does he represent a bunch of "They're taking our jerbs!!" types?

7. I think no money should go to any district whose Rep voted no. I also
think that should apply to the entire State whose Senator votes no. Another poster here said something similar to this and it SHOULD be the payback!

9. that is not the way things work - thankfully
you are willing to "punish" those who happen to live in those states?

go after them when they come up for re-election - but this money needs to be spread throughout the country

10. Not sure where you're from, but I live in Ga. and I've tried with every
method I could think of to get the Pubs out of office, but the vast majority of people here are Pubs who will never change! And yes I am willing to punish the voters who put and keep the Pubs in office. If those elected keep saying "I'm voting the way my constituents want me to vote, then those constituents should pay the price!

11. this bill has to be successful - or we will certainly be back in the minority
To keep the money in half the states or less - depriving the others - is a path to failure.

Our sole, primary goal must be the success of this package. The R's will be doing everything possible to have it fail. We need a 50-state strategy.

12. I know. I didn't mean for the PLAN to fail, just the States who keep electing idiots!
If I can't have my plan, can I at least hope the Dems running against these idiots point out to the people that "Even though the guy YOU sent to represent you voted against the plan, he sure was right there grabbing up the money!

14. DeFazio was against it for the correct reason....the rest are against it because they're right-wing
tools.

DeFazio voted no because of the lack of infrastructure spending.
