Why doesn't the stimulus bill have a patriotic marketing name? |
|
When BushCo was in charge, every bill was named something like "The Patriotic Eagle Bill For Mom and Apple Pie And Kittens And Terry Schiavo!"
I mean, why didn't we name this bill something like "The Jobs For Americans" bill, or the "Putting Americans Back To Work" bill? You see, then we could get on TV and ask the GOP why they would vote against the Jobs For Americans bill? Why do they hate Americans?
Seriously.

3. The phantom says: "meh." As a marketing name, that's pretty weak. |

bill with a snappy marketing name. (And even No Child Left Behind wasn't a "patriotic" name).
No googling allowed.

12. wow, what a terrible example |
|
First, its hardly a "patriotic" name. Second, I doubt that more than a handful of people remember it Third, between 2003 and 2005 four bills with that name were introduced and not one of them got out of committee. Not exactly a marketing tour de force.

9. See, this is why we lose. |
|
This is why the GOP has more influence in the minority than we do in the majority.
It's not jingoistic bullshit if it's also true. When it's true, it's using rhetorical tactics to get things done. The thing that made it bullshit in the hands of BushCo is that they lied.
