Do you know what it would be like to live in my world?
In my world you can do anything you wanted that is legal and no one can bribe lawmakers. In my world if your daughter wanted an abortion she'd be free to have it, and you could have your guns too. You could hunt and you could fish and we'd be friends because in my world maintenance of a safe environment is paramount. Every employee is represented by union in my world. When we get sick in my world we get to see the best of doctors and guess what? Nobody has any insurance because we have agreed that our taxes will pay all of our medical bills, cradle-to-grave. Education too, paid for cradle-to-grave, including retraining anytime you so desire if you are unemployed. Children do not go hungry in my world. We simply do not allow it. No drug is illegal in my word and we give care to those unfortunates who find themselves dependent on them and more importantly we tend to their psychological needs. We have our laws though, plenty of them. In my world your race does not determine how you will be treated under the law either. We don't allow parasites in my world. People who lie, cheat, and steal are carted off to face judge and jury, and if found guilty they go to jail. Those who would do injury to others receive particularly harsh treatment in my world; spouse-beaters and child-abusers best not apply. Speaking of your spouse, in my world that can be anyone you chose and who choses you.

You're welcome to come live in my world if you like but I warn you. We are willing to pay for what we get in my world and so are taxes may be high by some standards.

Hail to the Chief.

Sounds like a wonderfully just world. A veritable Utopia but with a more modern mindset than Thomas More's 1515 version of course.

I'll gladly sign up for the world you describe. :toast:

7. that's what I thought too! And I wondered what the hell Mr. Tombstone objects to.
What a bizarre worldview he (they, the fascists) must have, to think that lovely idea of life was hell!

8. My Thoughts Exactly!
In high school we had an assignment to create a "perfect" society. Yours was very similar to mine. We had such hopes in the sixties. Something went wrong along the way.... I hope we can find our way back!
