Peter DeFazio, who has easily earned my respect, voted NO on |
|
the Recovery Bill. I was listening to the radio and the show's time ran out. Why did he vote NO? I need to know.

1. He protested the cuts for infrastructure and schools. A very brave move indeed. |

7. Would he have kept it from passing if his vote was needed and burn American workers? |

5. Protest vote. He objected to the cuts on infrastructure and the tax cuts. |
|
I listened to his explanation on the floor and he is absolutely justified.

6. He knew the bill would still easily pass in the House so he had the luxury of the protest vote. |
|
Now, had it been very close, and his vote was needed to get it passed, I'm sure he would have voted YEA regardless of his ire over the cuts.
