I just phoned the White House and insisted that Pres. Obama appoint
Barney Frank for Commerce and Bill Bradley for HHS.

Pres. Obama said he was cool with that and would make the announcements on Monday.

Just a heads up.

1. I guess the WH is rerouting Prez Obama's phone calls to Chicago,
since that's where he is. Good job! I'm glad he's taking your advice.

The only problem; who'd replace Frank? He's kind of vital, even though he ticked me off with the lack of oversight on the first part of TARP.

3. Hi, babylonsister. Agree with you on that one incident with Frank,
but he is otherwise a smart cookie with some real spine, maybe just what it will take to focus the country on how mangled our economic system really is. I realize the Pukes will be furious but they lost the election.

6. Hey, saltpoint!
:hi:

After hearing lately how non-critical the commerce position actually is, do we want to waste Frank's talents there, ya think?

And your new name...genesis? Is that what deer chomp on?

7. LOL! True that Frank would leave an influential post for a more
vaguely drawn one.

Not sure the outcome. Only arguing for his talents and smarts. In the OFF CHANCE that President Obama doesn't take my recommendation, I'd be just as happy if Frank remained in the House, where he consistently flusters the Pukes because none of them knows what he knows or have the gumption and verve he has.

Point well taken.

A 'saltpoint' is the place in an estuary where a freshwater stream becomes predominantly of the saltwater into which it flows. It fluctuates with tides and the pull of the moon and so is never in the same exact spot at any one point in time.

Old Crusoe told me he wanted to light out ahead of the others to the territory to the West. I have no idea what the hell he was talking about. You know how obtuse that old fool could get.

10. I'm sure his district would find someone, but no one as good as him.
Also, I'd miss the feeling of knowing that someone from my state demonstrably cares about the financial problems.

"Insisting the President" is not always a rational endeavor

comfort of my home computer.

I recommend the life.

11. Shut the hell up.
Barney Frank belongs to us. We need him in MA. Keep your hands off. Bill Bradley yes.

12. LOL! I understand.
On Bradley, I do hope he is a short-list finalist. He's also a good man and deserves consideration.
