I watched an awful report about the stimulus bill on CNN
some time between noon and 1.00pm.
Essentially the sarcastic hack said that the Democratic Congress sent an aircraft for Sherod Brown so he could return to vote and give Democrats the 'slim' margin and pass the 700 plus billion dollar stimulus package close to 11.00pm last night. I detest this fuggers.

So here are my questions:
-Did the Republican Congress send a delegation to Ronald Reagan's funeral and the Democratic Congress to Gerald Ford's funeral? Did CNN complain?
-How shameless are the hacks over at CNN when the death of a Senator's mother is treated as some political event?
-Did they think the Democratic majority intended to let the Rushicans destroy such an important vote?
-Did they get this talking point from the Rushicans?

One more question - do DUers think the entire delay promoted by Coleman re Al Frankin was a ploy to prevent Democrats from having 60 votes for this bill?

1. Coleman's a slime.
It wouldn't surprise me if this was part of his reasoning, but more than that, I just think he's an egotist and a sore loser.

2. The Franken thing certainly gave them more clout for this bill.
I don't know WTH is up those Minnesota judges. Is this what Al Gore was worried about? That we wouldn't have a President by January 20?

7. Al Gore should have fought them
I'm betting that right now they're working on stealing 2010 but it won't work - Rushicans are way more unpopular than they believe. They haven't even come to terms with why they lost. I'm lovin' it. :D

11. I agree he should have fought.
Was there any recourse after the Supreme Court decision though?

Could he have gone after such a faulty decision? To who?

3. The CNN scroll on the bottom of their screen
......has been running the headline "Presidential plane picks up Senator" all day.

Every few minutes that headline runs at the bottom of the screen.

They are a real bunch of partisan asshats.

5. Ah now I get it
One question has been answered - it's an official Rushican 'talking point'.
Thanks.
The corporate hacks are upset - they lost - fuck them.

4. I gave up on CNN the day they refused the Obama Camp money for the 1/2 hour
because they "didn't want to appear biased for one candidate or the other".

Then they promptly had Larry King give McShame an entire hour unfettered the very next night.

The glaring proof that the fix was in was the fact McShame had rejected Larry King's offer to appear on his show around the same time he did David Letterman's invite, yet that wasn't discussed when McCain got his full, 1-hour unfettered on LK on CNN?

That's when I gave them up. They're Fixed News-Lite. I'm just happy Campbell Brown's show is tanking in the ratings. Good riddance.

6. Thanks for reminding me
Imagine trying to help a candidate by giving him an hour with Larry King. Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

8. The White House did send a plane for him
as a courtesy to the fact that he was taking time out of mourning his mother to come vote. Obama probably would have sent a plane to anybody, republican or democrat to vote. While I think that Coleman is slime, and Frankin should be seated, I do not think it is a ploy. He has been working at this since November
