I SAW PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!!!
Edited on Sat Feb-14-09 10:47 PM by Sannum
My doorman called me and said "You might want to go outside on Elm Street, Obama is at Table 52!! They know I am not only a huge Obama fan, but also a big fan of Table 52!!

It was about 8 minutes of waiting with a few other people excitedly talking about him, would we see him...would we see Michelle?

I saw the Agent that regularly acompinies him in public, so I knew that he would be out soon. 30 seconds later There he was! No picture from me, but I will remember it forever!

I shouted "We Love You Mr. President!!!" And we do!!!

I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7. Hey you
Thanks for the heads up about Nancy on Randi's show. I listened to her every day. She is absolutely terrific. :hi:

14. You're welcome!
With Randi leaving NovaM, I sure hope the Drobnys give her her own show in that time slot.

Edited on Sat Feb-14-09 11:06 PM by SharonRB
but Anita Drobny finally made a statement. It's been all over the place.

"To all of Randi's listeners;

You are all correct - I have not had the option to disclose what has been happening between Randi and Nova M...

You see, it's in her contract that she has total control, but, after Wednesday night, I want you all to know that Nova M has done everything we can to get her back on the air.

All this is her choice; if she wants to tell you all what the issue is, then I hope she does, but I can't according to her contract rules.

But I can tell you this I have wanted her back on the air. She's an amazing talent and needs to be heard.

Thank you all for all of your support.

Randi now has to make her decisions as to what she must do with her career...

Anita Drobny"

24. Well fuck
First I have heard about that.

I cancelled my satellite radio when she went off AAR. Then I turned it back on when her show on NovaM came on.

I can only do this so many times, Randi :grr:

10. How cool would that have been to be the server or sommelier in that restaurant?
I'm sure they had some vino or Champagne to celebrate the evening. Very cool that they took it out on the town rather than staying in.

So he left Hyde Park and went north for some seriously good food, huh? That's a great restaurant.

I miss Chicago.

But, boy, how exciting for you!!! Did he wave? How did Michelle look? Did you see her?

From what it looked like, Michelle was wearing the black swing coat that she wore on the train to DC, and carrying a doggie bag!!

Have I said that I ADORE these people!!!

I wonder what they ordered? I always get the Catfish or the Beef Filet with the twelve layer chocolate cake!!!

Now it's going to be impossible to get a table! :7

15. Did they shut the restaurant to other people?
If not, people probably had to go through security just to get in.

17. I would assume so.
The place is tiny...15 or so tables on 2 floors. i would guess that they were on the 2nd floor as the main dining room is visible from the street and glass.

16. " Obamas to dine at Table Fifty-Two"
Obamas to dine at Table Fifty-Two

February 14, 2009

BY BILL ZWECKER Sun-Times Columnist

President and Mrs. Obama are having Valentine’s Day dinner Saturday at Table Fifty-Two, Art Smith’s restaurant on Elm Street, a source at the restaurant has confirmed.

One reason the Obamas chose the restaurant is because of the Oprah connection. Smith is Oprah’s former chef.

The restaurant also has a completely private dining room on the second floor that made it ideal for the high-profile couple.

27. I ... can't ... believe ... that
I have reservations there tomorrow night to take mr. frazzled for his birthday.

One night sooner and we could have had dinner with the president.

Talk about being a day late and a dollar short.

Unbelievable.
