Conservative solutions to a radical crisis
http://therealnews.com/t/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=74&jumival=3301

Obama's problem is his economic appointees are averse to radical solutions to a radical crisis

Robert Kuttner, co-founder and co-editor of The American Prospect Magazine speaks to Paul Jay about Obama's economic team, and the stimulus package. He speculates Obama is realizing the limits of bipartisanship in his attempt to make his stimulus package a reality. Kuttner says Obama's economic team is trying to utilize the same methods to resolve the economic crisis that have led to the financial meltdown. He further ventures that the plan put forward by US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is a failure.

Robert Kuttner is co-founder and co-editor of The American Prospect Magazine, as well as a Demos Distinguished Senior Fellow. He was a longtime columnist for BusinessWeek, and continues to write columns in The Boston Globe. Kuttner is the author of eight books, including Obama's Challenge: America's Economic Crisis and the Power of a Transformative Presidency.

1. A Prediction From One Who Created This Mess...
Damn right the repugnicans want Obama's stimulus package to fail...it means a complete electoral wipe out in the years ahead and forcing them to face their own dark, dirty realities. It's easier to wish bad and cast "concerns" wthout even mentioning their past performance or lack of it. Kuttner like his Wall Street buddies somehow never saw this collapse coming..."who knew"...yeah, right.

Listening to a fat cat repugnican discuss ways to fix the economy is like having Octamom discuss birth control.

2. Phony meme alert: Republicons ain't got nothin to do with being conservative
Edited on Mon Feb-16-09 09:13 AM by SpiralHawk
The Republicon Homelander propaganda corps loves to use the word 'conservative' to describe themselves, but they are -- as the record plainly shows -- dangerous radicals on matters of the economy, the environment, and morality.

The record shows they are:
borrow-and-spend radicals who have driven America deep into debt.
borrow-and-spend radicals who have driven America deep into debt.
borrow-and-spend radicals who have driven America deep into debt.
borrow-and-spend radicals who have driven America deep into debt.
borrow-and-spend radicals who have driven America deep into debt.
borrow-and-spend radicals who have driven America deep into debt.
