Al Gore: "I had a Presidential election stolen from me, but I moved on ..."
WOW, I never thought I'd hear it put so bluntly by Al Gore,
and certainly not on the Simpsons!

Al: "Just let it go Homer."

Homer: "Al Gore?"

Al Gore: "I had a Presidential election stolen from me, but I moved on ..."

Without giving away the whole story, pay close attention to the details.

As an election integrity statistician, I'm so pleased all the hard core evidence
has finally been dumbed down for the average American voter.

And I rate this episode of the Simpsons as an all-time satirical classic for the ages.

Take My Life Please (HD) = Simpsons on demand TV
First HD episode too: Season 20, Episode 10
Here is the link: http://www.fox.com/fod/play.php?sh=simpsons
Rate & Review. Let the FOX know what the hen house thinks. Crow a bunch!!!

22. I have that problem with BBC material they publish on-line in the UK.
I am prohibited from streaming it in the U.S. Really chafes too because it's stuff they're not even giving to BBC America. Or if they are, it isn't until 2086 or some such date when I'm pretty much guaranteed to be composte.

7. Stolen from *us*, Mr. Gore.
Not from you, goddammit.

(I know Gore didn't write the lines. Fox did, and Fox--if they're willing to acknowledge election fraud at all--would love to portray Gore as the only victim, and one who deserved to lose.)

8. Oh for chrissakes...
"Fox" didn't write the line. There is no such thing as some kind of monolithic evil "Fox". Sure Murdoch and Fox News are evil but they have little to no effect on the entertainment side of things, and certainly no control over the Simpsons writers. But then I've done a lot of work for Fox (the movie studio side of things) so that must make me some kind of evil undercover freeper. ;)

20. No control over Simpsons writers.
Right. The Simpsons is unique, then, in that the network suits don't have any input or veto power, and the writers never, ever self-censor. Got it.

25. I work for a Fox affiliate and get that kind of response
"Oh, your office must be really conservative." It's quite the opposite, really. We only see the Fox people when it's time to renew the contract.

9. Umm...but it wasn't actually Al
Al Gore wasn't credited (like he was on Futurama).

Sounded like Harry Shearer.

10. Hey L, what do you mean by election integrity statistician, and are you in california?
Edited on Mon Feb-16-09 06:00 PM by robinlynne
I ask because we are working on a huge project here with data from the November election in LA COunty...I seem to remember you may be nearby?
We do have a sociology class at a university helping us with statistics, but....that title "EP statistician" just intrigued me and I had to ask!

19. Yeah, well he's wrong
I'm still not clear on who's wrong, Al Gore, or a scriptwriter for the Simpsons, but whoever it is is lacking an understanding about American democracy.

Gore didn't have an election stolen from him. It wasn't his election. It was ours, the people. We had an election stolen from us.

24. It's a matter of semantics.
The presidency was stolen from Gore. The election was stolen from us. And re that episode of "The Simpsons": Gore didn't write it, and that wasn't his voice.

23. With all due respect, the election wasn't stolen from Al Gore. It was stolen from the AMERICAN
people.

And dadblastit! I'm NEVER getting over it, nor should anyone who loves their country and democracy.
