I could easily see, especialy back in those days when the Dems were FULLY 100% CLUELESS about the perfidy that had taken over the Rushpublic Party.

It could also easily be that some "lone wolf" Rushpublican who was strapping on Dukakis chinstrap yanked it extra tight and told Dukakis is HAD to be that way "for safety" or whatever.

Dukakis could have loosened his own chinstrap, or simply said, "I'm a Presidential Candidate and this tight-pulled chinstrap makes me look ridiculous. Loosen it. (or perhaps, "Fucking loosen it...NOW.")
