2. Everything here is Politics...
I'd suggest one forum focused on Administration issues (keep GD: Presidential) and the other on legislative (GD: Congress?)

8. I've always been under the impression that GD is
mostly about current event issues and other thoughts.

While GDP is for strict political talk.

My feelings are GDP as it stands now, is too cluttered with lounge-type talk about Obama .. lots of pic threads, comments about what a nice family he has, etc., etc.

I don't have problem with that within reason, but it just has the feel of an Obama Lounge and I think changing the name back to politics might send the message to people that everything doesn't have to be about Obama, just because it's named "Presidential."

Just my two cents.

4. "GD: Presidential" is fine with me
We now have a Democratic President, so it seems right to have a special forum.

Regular GD has broader political discussion, so it's not like GDP is in the way of anything.

9. Oh, look
A continuation of a locked thread, in another forum. I think one gets bonus points for that.
