Haven't seen another thread on the news conference currently well underway. President Obama followed great speeches
by Biden and the CEO of Namaste, a Colorado-based solar electric company that expects to hire as a result of the stimulus.

4. I'm in California and feeling a bit jealous of Colorado ...

It used to be that new ideas came from the "Golden
State" -- now all we produce is bounced checks ...
We ought to be at the forefront of "smart grids"
and alternative energy, but as we languish, more
forward-looking states like Colorado are taking
the lead ... and it's a good thing they are I
guess. I only wish my state could get some of
its "can-do" mojo back ...

It feels so good to be able to look forward, with enthusiasm and hope, to hearing the President give a speech. I lost count of how many pens he used. What was that, one per letter??

BTW, I don't recall ever seeing Bush do that - anytime I watched him sign a bill, etc., he used one pen. (Correct me if I'm wrong, fellow DUers).
