4. I met J. Jackson Jr at a poli sci conference once
I remember him saying that it was his life's political objective to undo everything Reagan did! He would get my vote just for that sentiment. He got a standing ovation from a crowd of buttoned-down professors after that line.

5. he had the identical situation as burris
rather than bring disrepute, or even a hint of 'taint, he withdrew.

that makes him #2 to replace Burris,
after Lisa Madigan, for a whole slew of reasons.

8. I don't live there so I defer to Response No, 1.
While I consider every Senator to belong to all of us I will still defer to the home state. If you say he should resign and you know that your state can do better, then who am I to say no?
