he still had around half the country voting for him, which is a sign of how stupid the public can be. And yes, I realize the right wingers are saying the exact same thing about Obama's election. Something tells me the public won't give Obama anywhere near as much patience as they gave Bush.

Remember, around half the voters is not = to around half the country. Lots of folks don't vote.
