I was hitting some sci fi sites, geek that I am, and I ran across The Ferengi Rules of Aquisition. It's an amazing list. Almost prescient. Change the name Ferengi to Republican and it's a virtual one for one match.

I took a little bit of time to extract the best of the list. The rules that seem to apply to the worst of the right. For the geekier... it really does help to imagine KKKarl as a ferengi. Doesn't take much of a leap either.

... the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

I actually read that ... ahem ... document. Scary. It appears to be the source of all modern Radical Rightist paranoid theories. Even when the word "Jew" is excised, it retains its unique poisonous quality.

Satire and reality have become indistinguishable. Such an age!

This deserves to be made into a poster or sign of some sort... with a subtle background of elephants (and perhaps hippos à la the recent brilliant GOP logo suggestion).

Can you picture it hanging in every reTHUG's and Libertarian's office? :D
