- Discussed at Space’s Veterans Advisory Board Meeting, Phone Number Connects Veterans With Available Services -

WASHINGTON, D.C. — At his Veterans Advisory Board meeting today in Zanesville, Congressman Zack Space (OH-18) welcomed Bill Hartnett, the Director of the Ohio Department of Veterans Services, who discussed the need to reach out to Ohio veterans, making sure they receive the services they have earned. Ohio veterans are encouraged to call 1-877-OHIO-VET, a hotline created to identify veterans and help them connect with the available services.

“With thousands of veterans returning every month, it is vitally important to make sure they are connected with the support system available to them,” Space said. “Our heroes have earned a number of services, and we need to make sure they are aware of what is available.”

“I would like to commend Director Hartnett and the rest of the staff of the Ohio Department of Veterans Services for the great work they are doing to reach out to our returning veterans. They are doing a great service for our men and women in uniform,” Space continued.

Congressman Space serves on the House Committee on Veterans Affairs and has represented Ohio's 18th Congressional District since 2007.

..............

Hope this will help some of our Ohio Veterans and give ideas to those Veterans who live in other States to request this service in their States.
