I am a psychology student, and let me try to psychoanalyze the gun thing: Fear of castration. Probably they are deeply insecure people, and use the gun as a phallic symbol of power and manhood. Because, if it is, then it's not a great plan.

It wasn't how I read the plan and the fact that it's posted in Freeperville makes the sourcing suspect, but I want to know what the actual plan is so I can counter-educate people who will believe this.

16. The "Plan"

Being on Free republic, I am always tempted to call Bravo Sierra.The opposite plan seems to be casting people into Dickensian poorhouses.This Obama plan basically treats these lenders like loan sharks, and forces them to renegotiate the deal. The conservative line, in my opinion, is viewed through a prism of attempting to maintain the Status Quo. All they want is to maintain, which is a large part why their base fits a certain mold, White people who have traditionally had power, and react negatively to having ti taken away. This mortgage crisis, caused by deregulation and natural human greed, can be laid almost wholly at their feet. To do nothing, essentially what we have done previously on the consumer end of this, fits within their reliance on the status quo. Ask whoever disparages the plan exactly what they will do. Then go get coffee while they stammer and say tax cuts. Or attack the poor or people who can't fight back, which fits their bulling, selfish attitude perfectly.
