California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger speaks to reporters at a press conference on the state budget at the State Capitol in Sacramento, California February 19, 2009. California lawmakers approved on Thursday a state budget package to close a $42 billion deficit, ending a lengthy standoff with a slate of bills that aim to raise taxes, slash spending and increase borrowing.

12. Funny.
Arnie's been good at charts and pictures of California's economy since he started terminating the state. My SO and I got a kick out of seeing him as a weight lifter on Streets of San Francisco recently. It has to be one of the worst episodes of that show ever. He got all mad when a guy watching the weight lifting competition laughed at him and well, basically might've called him a girly man!

I just love how republicans subscribe to the philosophy of "magic money" when it comes to public policy..

A government (any government) does not "make a product"...governance is their "product", and the only "income" they have , is TAX MONEY THEY COLLECT from all of us..

These people don't understand that occasionally the government needs a "raise" too.. They never object when their own bosses give THEM raises, and many change jobs frequently to GET higher pay, but when it comes to the government, they seem to think that no matter how much costs go up, the government is somehow immune to this, and must operate on the same amount of money they had access to...decades ago..

8. Vhat do you t'ink of my stool sample?
Gee, I wonder what Darrell "Crybaby" Issa is waiting for? Gray Davis didn't do half this bad a job for Issa to mount the recall effort against him. I wonder if it was {gasp!} just partisan politics, and not Issa's sterling principles that caused the Davis recall? Oh my goodness!
