Ain't it cool NOT being embarrassed beyond belief every time our president speaks?

Congratulations on your first whole month President Barack Obama!

(DAMN it feels good to say it)!

1. Don't relax...
We still have the right wing media machine and the GOP assholes to deal with.

But it does feel good that we have changed the world for the better.

7. Ah, but most of the rest of the world gets objective news. They hated Bush long
before it became the trend here.

My husband is working in europe and he says the difference in reaction to him now is palpable. When we were in Germany in 'o6, we received an outright hostile reaction from a travel agent--so bad that her colleague took over and she was asked to leave the building till she cooled off.

3. I really don't know how to feel
After going through 8 years of the worst bullshit ever.
A whole month of not being ashamed and embarrassed is not enough to block out the past.

6. I still cringe when a news report begins "The White House today...."
Then I think no wait, the White House is good now.

It will take me many months to get the stench of the bush administration to leave me forever. It's still hard to believe how terrible they were. And I don't buy this "6th worst president" BS either. bush. Was. The. Worst. Ever.

4. Hate to throw an egg your way,
but Mr. Obama still has two failed occupations that he needs to address. (Perhaps he could start with reading about the empires that have been broken in Afghanistan.)

He also has a one trillion dollar military budget for 2009 that should be cut. BTW, when dubya took over in 2000 the military budget was $302 billion.

during the Bush years, he would try to divert or avoid the question of his citizenship altogether.
