Please, President Obama, do the right thing.

I'm with you all the way on the stimulus package, and I am proud of the package your economic team put together to address the foreclosure crisis, but please, before a revolution takes hold, do something for those homeowners in America who have paid their mortgages every month in good faith, without falling behind, even though many families have had to tighten belts so hard that they are about to choke. Can you give these families special tax incentives or something?

I'm afraid if this situation isn't addressed quickly, some bad shit will go down.

1. Those of us who have paid our mortgages faithfully without falling behind
Edited on Fri Feb-20-09 03:45 PM by FrenchieCat
are praying that there will be no more foreclosures in our neighborhoods......as the house across the street from me has already reduced the equity in my own property further. If more people in this area are foreclosed on, I will feel it in my pocket directly via a reduction in my equity...so although President Obama's plan doesn't help me my mortgage payments directly, his plan helps my equity not go down any further...because if it did, I'd find myself underwater.

Those who don't understand such matters should STFU up! That includes that fucking overpaid Media CNBC Whore Rick Santelli.

2. If there's a revolution, then many houses will be lost. Everyone should count their blessings.
Those who think they have a beef with "less deserving" people getting a break should consider how our nation has had a very nice run over the past 60 years. Much of that has come from the hard working lower classes who've been given the shaft for the past 28 years. Maybe they deserve a break.

4. Since I can afford to pay my mortgage, I don't need anything
from this stimulus. It's for people in dire straits, not for people who are doing OK.

5. It's pretty shitty that we have to literally beg to get any crumbs from the table.
