19. Back when JimRob first floated the idea of an organized

convention, it started quite a long thread. Most of the people in the thread said "WooHoo!" but allowed as how they couldn't make it to the meetup. A few lobbied to have it near where they lived, since they had things like dialysis and other health problems that made it hard for them to travel. Of the couple hundred posts I looked at, I think I saw half a dozen people say they'd come.

Free Republic denizens don't show up in person. Ever. You hold a protest in DC, and half a dozen fat, lonely, middle aged people show up. There's a weekly (or so) meetup in Fresno, Jimbo's home town, and it's never more than half a dozen.

That's it for Freepre activism. It's inactive.

I mean when Freepers gather it's a force to be reckoned with, you know? The sheer number of them that gather at these things is amazing, 5 Freepers protesting is'nt that big of a deal, but 15? They may have to shut down entire streets, the horror...the horror. :sarcasm:
