Are the multiple news stories on Twitter bogus? |
|
It seems every time I turn on a cable news station and now it's on broadcast news too that they are covering a story on Twitter. Is this just a big marketing gimmick and these stations are getting kickbacks for carrying these stories? Later on the host gives out their Twitter user id.

2. No, it's just the latest internet thing that the news media noticed two years after everyone else. |

It's like the "wow, hey, blogs, cool" thing we had to go through a few years back, followed by every news figure getting their own blog.

 Everything - and I do mean EVERY thing - presented by, or as, news is somehow related to someone at the news company making a profit.
Ever watch the 'Entertainment' shows? They're nothing but plugs for salons, designers and products: "This Year's Oscar Look - How You Too Can Get a Glam Do!" types of bs ....
