1. One of my best friends

is a Marine Lt. Col, now in the reserves. A Desert Storm vet, and the son of a Marine. He's true-blue, but hates Chimpy Fucknuts even more than I do, and loves Obama.

He had this job. He's told me stories.

I could never watch it.

Did you ever read "The Things That Carried Him"? It was published in Esquire a year ago. I sent it to my Marine pal who said, "Yeah, that's how it is."

I highly recommend it.

3. Don't give them any credit

The rules for sending the fallen ones home have been in place for a long time. My Marine friend was in Desert Storm under Bush 41 I don't know for sure - I'll find out - but 41 didn't institute those rules, either. They were there before he took office.

Never give them credit for anything. You'll probably always be right.
