Burris Talks to Feds About Blago NBC Chicago and Sun-Times exclusive

Since being appointed to replace President-elect Barack Obama, former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris has been fighting for his seat in the U.S....

The embattled senator met with federal investigators for hours as part of the on-going federal probe into whether former Gov. Rod Blagojevich sold President Obama's senate seat, sources tell NBC Chicago and the Chicago Sun-Times.

Burris ignored questions from reporters about whether he was considering resignation before getting into a waiting sport utility vehicle and heading to attorney Timothy Wright's office downtown for his meeting with authorities. Burris is not accused of any wrongdoing and has said repeatedly he has no plans to resign.

The U.S. Attorney's office and FBI are reportedly interested in Burris' contacts with the former governor, his aides and his brother Robert Blagojevich and whether or not any fundraising was done in exchange for the senate appointment.
