The next Bush in politics? Not quite yet
By BRENDAN FARRINGTON
AP Political Writer

ORLANDO, Fla. -- George P. Bush may not be ready to follow his father, grandfather and uncle into politics just yet, but he is trying to help the Republican Party regain a conservative message, which on Saturday included criticism of Florida Gov. Charlie Crist.

Bush, the son of former Gov. Jeb Bush, grandson of former President George H. Bush and nephew of former President George W. Bush, addressed a national conference of young Republicans and told them there is a rift in the party between fiscal conservatives and what he calls "D light" - Republicans who are trying to appeal to the political middle.

"There's some in our party that want to assume that government is the answer to all of our problems," Bush said. "I'm not going to name any names."

But he said in Florida, there were Republicans who have endorsed the recent $787 billion stimulus plan that Democratic President Barack Obama signed into law. Bush was referring to Republican Crist, who lobbied hard for the bill, including an appearance with Obama in Fort Myers.

1. Good God, if this country ever says yes to another Bush again, then we deserve what we get.

8. We already deserve what we got
The Bush disaster didn't begin when W. took the oath,......it began when Reagan took office. Bush 41 was supposed to seal the neocon deal, but Perot intervened. Clinton could have done way more than he did, and he actually did a few egregiously terrible things,... Politically expedient contrivances? Whatever, they set the stage for Bush 43,..... and we can all see the results.

5. The one who resorted to violence when he couldn't get what he wanted from his girlfriend?
The one who tried to break and enter/rip the screens off his girlfriend's bedroom window in her parents' home, and who, when confronted by the girlfriend's daddy, got into a fight with the guy, who then said "I'm calling the cops" while Porgie ran off, and then came back, and proceeded to do donuts all over the daddy's expensively manicured lawn? THAT George P. Bush???

Gee, the message that I get from that guy is this: If your girlfriend doesn't like what you're up to, go to her house with drunken bullying threats, and later, rip up her daddy's nice lawn with your SUV. Then, after girlfriend-daddy files a police report, get your daddy's cronies to go and have a talk with girlfriend-daddy, and convince him to drop the charges in exchange for a very nice visit from the lawn care specialists!!!

George P. Bush might be a hunkalicious young Republican, but he still seems a bit creepy. So TSG wasn't too surprised to learn that "P" was involved in a troubling 1994 incident described in this Metro-Dade Police Department report. On December 31, 1994, Bush showed up at 4 AM at the Miami home of a former girlfriend. He proceeded to break into the house via the woman's bedroom window, and then began arguing with his ex's father. Bush, then a Rice University student, soon fled the scene. But he returned 20 minutes later to drive his Ford Explorer across the home's front lawn, leaving wide swaths of burned grass in his wake. Young Bush avoided arrest when the victims declined to press charges.

The new face of the Republican Party, same as the old face of the Republican Party--a drunken, bullying, abusive rich kid!! A bit creepy, indeed!

The more things change, the more they remain the same...eh?

7. Poor little Shrublet.

He must be the last one to know the Boosh name is the most reviled name in the world.

Otherwise he'd be home making up bogus prescriptions with his sister instead of shooting his mouth off.
