Argh. I'm trying to search archives and it won't work for me.

I am looking for that thread of 4 yrs ago with pictures of not-Obama. I went to search, advanced search, archives for GD and nothing shows up for "obama" from even 2006. What am I doing wrong? Or, alternatively, does anyone have that thread from when a news place put a pict of "obama" except it wasn't, was some other young black man, then everyone posted "not obama" pictures?

Snarking at its best was that thread. Search is frustrating me.

1. Have you tried the google site search? I've had some luck with that when I couldn't get an archive

search to work.

2. I've had trouble searching for old threads, too.

Anything before 2006 has been "unfindable," except for a few lucky google searches, IME.

3. DU's search for old stuff SUCKS.. Try Google with democratic underground in the search, and

YOUR screen name .. The Obama name in it willl screw up that search too.. too many..

7. Thanks, I tried various ways, gives me the first 5 of #, but then

the bottom is cut off so I can't look at more. Maybe off to google straight rather than using the google up in the corner.

then there was a whole thread afterwards of other not-Obama pictures. I am glad to see that there really was a picture since I'd started to wonder if it was just my faulty memory.

8. I've had some luck searching the archives, when DU's search doesn't yield

any thing, on regular Google. I just put in what I remember of the post and then Democratic Underground after it. It has found several posts for me.
