George Will inciting violence on This Week...
Saying that the financial mess is the fault of the American people for living beyond their means all these years.

The reason I think this amounts to inciting violence is that every time one of these tools starts blaming US instead of the criminals, grifters and greed-mongers in the banking/financial system it just increases the anger felt by the citizens of this country.

Just keep ramping up that anger, George!!

1. I see.
George Asshole continues to blame everyone except the politicians and wealthmongers in the party most predominantly in power for the past 28 years.

"It's the Democraps! It's the Environmentalists! It's the Protectionists! It's you! IT'S NOT OUR FAULT!!! Republicans are the CHAMPIONS of the working class!! You NEED us to look after you! HOW DARE you say it's OUR faul . . . oh God, this isn't getting any easier. Even I don't believe me anymore."

9. You forgot Stephanopolous...
In addition to Krugman and Roubini there was that woman, don't know who she was, but she wondered how anyone could blame the BOARDS of these companies for anything. How could they know, coming in once a week, what was really going on? :wtf:

I was in the kitchen making breakfast and when she said that I had the momentary impulse to smack the skillet into something!

Even in the face of the non-stop media propagandizing, though, most Americans still see through it.

3. Without leverage, we can't provide enough funding to buy
everything we used to at the prices we used to.

The system that allowed us access to whatever credit we wanted is gone.

6. And Who Favored More And More "Deregulation"???
Mr. Will still hasn't come clean about his Global Warming lies last week the Washington Post tried to sweep under the rug. Typical hit pieces from the Sour Grapes chattering class. Wanna bet if we did a little digging, we'd find. Mr. Will has addressed a banking group or special interest group worshiping at the altar of Milton Friedman. And now that we've experienced how this "trickle down" works, the fox blames the hens for the mess. Hypocrite!!!

Wasn't Will one of the advocates of the "ownership society"...making credit easy and hooking people into "buy now, pay later"...and "no money down". Prosperity was shown by the car your drove, the house you owned...and even if you couldn't afford it, you could always find a way to put it "on the card". No one did that better than his own buddy georgie booosh who all but maxed out the country's credit cards for his tax breaks to the rich like Will and his wars for profit. Damn right Will is upset, his game is being called.

7. You know, he is right
Instead of going out to buy a new Big Bertha driver to smack him in the head with, I'm just going to have to find an old splintered board with a few rusty nails in it. :spank:

8. I've been hearing this pov for days! GW and those like him do not
want us to pull back the curtain...as if we had to...to showcase the greedy individuals that brought the economy to a halt so he instead blames the little guy. Yep..people lived on credit. Many HAD to do this. Wages down...job losses, medical bills all played at part to Americans using their credit lines granted by the vultures to SURVIVE! No lender was forced into the subprime market but it supplied the needed mortgages for the harvest of billions off those that were vulnerable and convinced by the developers, realtors, mortgage companies, banks and ultimately, investors that the American dream would escape them if they didn't take part of the ever escalating market that would eventually escape their means. Remember the advertisements on teevee urging home owners with equity to USE it or look like fools for not taking part in the opportunity laid out in front of them? I can't tell you the seething anger I feel for the architects of our crisis.

13. go away george ,your insights are no longer relevant.
the only thing you have to offer is blame. we, the people of the united states, no longer care who is to blame.

we want to know what`s going to be done to fix the problem.
