So why isn't Palin at the Governors meeting
Did that back tax notice scare her off? What gives?

1. because she was going to be a co-chair of an energy meeting ....
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x3749630

The one big reason ....

... she doesn't know anything about energy or if she does know anything it can not be that much.

I would bet big money she does not know what a BTU is or how a nuclear power plant makes electricity.

Her claim to understand energy because they drill for oil & gas in Alaska is the same as me
saying I can run a freight train because I have train tracks at the end of my street.

12. It was time for her to bail.
This was the deep end of the pool.

Palin and Schweitzer, a rancher-turned-politician, are the chairwoman and vice chairman, respectively, of the NGA's Natural Resources Committee.

The panel is holding a 2 p.m. ET discussion Sunday on "Energy Infrastructure: Vital for a 21st Century Economy." The panel will hear from two energy experts: Pat Wood III, a principal with Wood3 Resources, and Jesse Berst, the managing director of GlobalSmartEnergy.com.

3. I Was Wondering The Same Thing...Methinks She Doesn't Play Well With Others
You may recall there was a governors meeting last fall she showed up at and Rick Perry all but had to pull her off the podium. The look of embarassment by the other GOOP governors up there was a classic. Then she blew into DC to attend a ritzy drinkie drinkie party and blew off the GOOP caucus. Sure doesn't sound like a team player to me.

Gotta give credit to Rep. Cummings or whoever wrote the ammendment into the stimulus bill forcing governors to say if they'll take the funding or not. Mooselini would only shine a light on how much a welfare state Alaska is if she says something about it one way or another. Besides the tax situation, there's still the Troopergate situation and having to play Grandma (I wonder if she puts that on a per diem, too.).

That was priceless.

Yep that was an excellent amendment. I love listening to the Jindals talking about the conditions of the package. Does anyone on the planet other than corporate banks receive no strings money?

11. Isn't that the meeting where she claimed that her water broke
"slightly" yet she stayed and then flew back to Alaska? Perhaps she doesn't want to answer any questions about that incident to those who would have access to ask them who were there last time? Just a guess.

18. Oh...And That One, Too...
That was last year...her 6,000 mile delivery. This was another meeting right after the election...she strutted into the press conference and overstayed her welcome.

Cheers...

22. A public official deceiving her constituents about her pregnancy.
Just horrible. Plus the fact that she hid it from her own children.

25. Did I ever tell you that you are my Fav?
your best heart came from me.

No that was at "an energy producers" meeting in Texas. At this one Ms. Palin would have
had to keep up w/ the big boys about energy .... a subject which she knows very little
about and she would have been exposed as a fraud.

but then I remembered she's not exactly their beauty queen these days. Didn't they accuse her of lying to them recently and paling around with the DC crowd and Pres Obama. :D

28. Now, now, you KNOW The Queen doesn't walk among the
Great Unwashed, don't you? :sarcasm:

She does seem to think she's better than others, and that because she was picked by McSame as his VP, she's an automatic shoe-in for the republican nomination in 2012, no further effort required.
