1. The "investment adviser" that put him into this "fund" should be sued
It is elder abuse. I have an aunt in her 80s that was also put into inappropriate investments by an "adviser."

3. Most financial advisers are crooks; ever look at their fees?
Financial advisers are part of the wall street brotherhood of criminals.

7. This is why the Madoff scandal will turn into a web of crime on many levels.
Markopoulos said that these advisers knew without a doubt that Madoff couldn't be legit, but that they were well compensated to look the other way.

Law suit anyone?

5. my Dad would do the same thing if he were able
that was the way he was brought up and the way he raised his six children. You do not get something for nothing like most kids expect today.

9. I saw him on the news. I just LOVE people like that.
And he seems to be really enjoying himself. Talk about lemons into lemonade.

4. $10 an hour? I need a job that pays that well!
But seriously, he is an inspiration--and also lucky he is healthy enough to be able to work. My mom is his age, and is very deaf and can barely see. I don't think she could work now because she's not up to it.
