3. A favorite story
In 1992 there were many voters in Orange County, CA - one of the most conservative counties in the country - who voted for Clinton. One of them was a well known real estate developer, a woman. She told this story: she donated $100K (a lot of money these days) to the Republican party and was invited to a reception for the "Club of one hundred."

Haley Barbour then was the chair. He approached her and asked: "and with whom are you here, little lady?" She looked coldly at him and replied: "with the Club of 100."

That famous Buchanan "culture war" speech certainly kept away many who realized that they did not fit the desired traits of a "good Republican": white, male and Christian.

9. Pigs are lovely creatures.
I prefer the term, "Utterly repulsive human". It doesn't insult pigs.
