These Red-carpet interviews prior to the Oscars are
the most insipid TV I have ever seen. And that's saying a lot.

that is all...

4. I haven't watched one second of the Oscar's in 25 years and I love
the movies and go often.

I actually pity anyone who has to sit through it.

9. Normally I don't watch this part...
but I got depressed watching the Concorde Crash special on Dateline and switched over during Baba Wawa.

8. Insipid! That's the exact word I used to my husband a few minutes ago.
And ABC was even worse than E! Didn't think that was possible.

10. That may be true,
but I love seeing what everyone is wearing. So far, most of the gowns are beautiful this year.

14. Sometimes I like insipid TV. I couldn't stand watching news and serious TV all the time!

Always love watching, since it's a nice relief from all the shit that's going on.

17. Since I guess I'm the only one willing to defend them..
The only purpose of it is to let people see their favorite "stars" and hear them say a few words. They don't have the time for in depth discussion and I'm sure the "stars" wouldn't stand for it. I kind of like seeing them and what they are wearing. It's called relaxation. Sometimes it's nice to be distracted for awhile from the serious problems of the world.
